Registered Representative
Magazine Article
I was featured in Registered Representative magazine in December of 1983 as the first blind person to use talking computers in the brokerage industry. Entitled, “Computer Vision,” the spread consisted of several pages and photos. I doubt the vest that I was wearing then would fit any more, and my hair was parted in the center as I was trying to pull out of the seventies!
The computer I used was a modified Hewlett Packard with a one meg hard drive and had speakers dangling from it. It was still the era of floppy drives, so the one meg hard drive was considered enormous.
